One of the largest contributors to this classical presents is the Athens Symphony Orchestra. The origins of the Symphony can be traced back to 1976, when the idea was conceived. Under the inspiration and leadership of Ms. Jill Read surveys were taken to develop a community orchestra to enhance the cultural life of Athens.
