The city of Aurora is home to the legendary Paramount Theatre, which opened its doors in 1931 to great fanfare. At the time, it was the first air-conditioned movie palace outside of Chicago. Aurora is a growing city that has kept the family as a major part of its development. These are some of the reasons why the city is becoming so popular. Aurora is the third largest city in Colorado, with a population of just over 300,000. At an elevation of 5,435 feet above sea level, its altitude is higher than that of Denver, although it sits on the same plateau at the foot of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
