One of the Southeast�s largest annual music festivals takes place in Birmingham. More than 250,000 people attend the City Stages festivities. The event takes place over a 3-day weekend in during the summer. This amazing musical experience brings over 150 acts and a wide variety of musical styles to Birmingham. For example, there are musicians playing jazz, folk, gospel, country and rock and roll music. In addition, there are spoken word events, performance art and dance that require no admission fee.
