Toledo is the nation's third busiest rail hub, 15th-busiest air cargo hub, and one of the busiest ports on the Great Lakes. A wealth of history lies in Toledo. It is in the midst of the Northwest Territory; a region which served as an early battleground between Indian tribes and settlers. The first settlement in the area was named Port Lawrence and was laid out in 1816 at the mouth of Swan Creek. There are so many heritages to see and visit, it makes a great vacation spot of any historian.
Pharmacies are frequently the primary access point for healthcare services and supplies, especially for Latinos. As the number of Latino pharmacy clients continues to rise, and nine million Latinos in this country are of reproductive age, a significant opportunity exists to promote sexual health services and products in the pharmacy. Pharmacies are regulated by states, and must be licensed by the states they are in. They also nearly always must be licensed in other states to which they ship medicines. Pharmacies are an ideal access option for emergency contraception. Pharmacists are therefore well placed to perform a role in informing clients and promoting appropriate drug use.
