Tulsa is the second-largest city in the state of Oklahoma and 45th-largest in the United States. Tulsa, Oklahoma is widely thought of as the arts & cultural center of OK, with two world-renowned museums, ballet & opera companies, and fantastic mid-century architecture. It was first founded in the 1830�s by a Native American tribe. The population in Tulsa in 2006 was estimated at just fewer than 400,000. It is said that it is the birthplace of the infamous Route 66. This city is located in Tornado Alley and does suffer from frequent severe weather but overall is a fabulous place to visit.
